Well, I don't hate my parents
I don't get drunk just to spite them
I've got my own reasons to drink now
I think I'll call my dad up and invite him
I can sleep in till noon anytime I want
Though there's not many days that I do
Gotta get up and take on that world
When your an adult it's no cliche it's the truth

There is no correct answer or set time. As with most things in life it varies depending on many things with each person. Some maybe an adult at 18. Some may not really be an adult until 30+ For me I think it happened at 19 when my father died and life slaps you in the face, and you don't really have a choice but to grow up or get ran over by life.

My mom is 80 and just the other day remarked that there are still days she doesn’t feel like much of an adult.

In the past I would have said when someone turned 18. But these days with so much information thrown at people before they turn 18, probably when they start living on their own and learn to live life.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I partook when both my sons were born, then after when there wasn't enough time in the day. Sniffing glue and trevor bauering hookers just wasn't appropriate anymore.

A person becomes an adult when they realize for the first time that they have nobody to fall back on and ultimately must fend for themselves when it's all said and done, and does what must be done within the confines of the law to keep what is his and protect those who depend upon him for their safety and security.
