Does anybody else get this? It starts out with, "have barely seen you because you've been working so much" and then devolves into, "Lets watch something on TV together", and that something turns out to be painful to watch.

Had to sit through "The eye's of Tammy Faye", and several painful episodes of the new "Sex in the City" recently. How in the world do women actually believe that any male actually finds the chic from Square Pegs that's the lead in Sex in the City attractive in any way? If that were the case Olive Oyl would have been a pin up girl back in the day.

Was like that at early in our marriage. After nearly 29 years, we each have our own TVs in different rooms. She has hers, I have mine.

We have 7 TVs wall-mounted in the house. It's embarrassing.

2 of them aren't even hooked up to anything anymore since 2 of the kids are gone and took their video game systems with them.

They are just ugly blank picture frames.

We only have one in the house. Have two in the converted barn.

I got stuck during the holidays watching recorded episodes of one of the daytime soap operas. I don't even know the name as I just sat there and stared. Some woman had a baby that died after birth. She handed it over to her dead dad who walked away with it into a bright light. My wife was wiping tears and I sat there like, WTF did I just watch?

Advantage Boyd...my wife doesn't really watch anything on TV. So, sports are almost always on. She will actually enjoy watching hockey and football...gets the games, as in, understands the concepts of offense and defense in football. Literally, if she gets a hankering to watch something, it's reruns of Maury so we can mock the cheaters/baby daddys/psycho chicks together.

My kids on the other hand...if I have to watch one more episode of Paw Patrol or Elena of Avalor, I may hang myself.

This accurately describes my ex-wife.
"You're more interested in ________ then spending time with me."
Her idea of spending time together was sitting on the couch, not talking, watching "Parenthood" or "Grays Anatomy" or any God-awful based on a true story lifetime movie. Watch Football or baseball or anything I'd find interesting....not a chance.

This is one of multiple reasons why she is my EX wife.

you fucked up when you married a broad who is (a) interested in TV and (b) knows how to work the remote.

My wife will watch anything I put on with no complaints and barely knows how to turn the TV on if I'm not home.

It's called being a man.

Let me guess...she's too busy cleaning and vacuuming to learn how to use the remote?

Let's put it this way. She doesn't know how to use the remote and I don't know how to use the vacuum cleaner, dishwasher or where we even store cleaning supplies.
