I did it once (2015?) and started a thread about it here, with permission from bigfan. A couple days later he proceeded to make fun of people who jumped in the lake saying it wasn't necessary, and the donations basically tripled overnight

It was cold, but wasn't quite the shock to the system that everybody says. Maybe because I was amped up and was in the water for literally 3 seconds. It was fun, well organized, and a great cause. I would not hesitate to do it again.
