If a felony is sealed, is a dude eligible, or does the felony have to be expunged also? The conviction is robbery.

Sealed... forgive my ignorance but does that mean the police wouldn't know a prior if they ran the name?

As I understand it, they would have access. As I understand it, sealing is for the purposes of loans, employment, and such and would still be a red flag on a FOID application.

I really don't know. If the isp can find a felony you're a no go. But if you need to be put into contact with a lawyer who specializes in such situations I might know a guy.

This guy is down in Homewood, but I'll pass it on. Hell, I think robbery is a class 2 so even sealing will be a rough go, nevermind getting a gun.

Nardi is correct. Felony sealed is still seen by police and FBI just not employers etc. A felony requires a pardon for guns.

Are the CC laws in Chicago the same as the laws in IL or are they more strict?

CC laws are statewide laws enforced by the ISP.

sealed doesn't mean their isn't a record of the outcome, only the particulars of the case

Yea pretty sure sealed felony means FELONY but doesn't specify what it was. Prob will have to buy a gun the normal way in Wisconsin at the Menomonee falls gun show.
