The best part is when you know the right path forward, it falls of deaf ears, shit hits the fan, you get blamed by ownership, then you explain what you wanted to do, and they don't agree and try the deaf ears way again, it didn't work again so everyone is now staring at each other wondering what to do when the right answer has been there the entire time but that would prove them wrong so it's not going to happen. This is why you take a salary and don't work overtime boys.

You have to be a great follower before you can be a great leader. It's all part of the process.

I do sometimes think it would be better to have several defined weeks off per year, never have to worry about existential issues of the company, not have to forego salary during down periods, and just plug away doing acceptable work for eight hours without having it infect every other aspect of life. I don't think that when it is time to divide the profits. Benefits and detriments to both sides.

The Marxists really have neither an understanding of the concerns of the proletariat or those who control capital, which is why its usually quarantined in the academic set.

My only boss is the man upstairs and I don't do anything for him.

Most leaders have never followed. But most leaders are terrible so I do agree, if I ever get my own shop I'm not worried about keeping the workforce happy. I've been in middle management over 10 years now and guys below me always enjoy working for me. It's the bullshit I get from above that I can't stand. I've been working on a few paths to my own gig, but health issues have put a damper on it. One thing that will always be nice about working for others is the guaranteed paycheck. Even if I get fired, my resume lets me walk in somewhere else and get paid right away.
