Nichols was pulled over on Jan. 7 around 8:30 p.m. for "reckless driving" near Raines Road and Ross Road in Memphis. A "confrontation occurred" during the stop, which resulted in police chasing Nichols on foot, police said. He was later apprehended. "While attempting to take the suspect into custody, another confrontation occurred; however, the suspect was ultimately apprehended," MPD said. "Afterward the suspect complained of having shortness of breath, at which point an ambulance was called to the scene.” Nothing to see here . Its fortunate for the would be shoppers of Memphis that all the big box stores are coincidentally running a free flat screen TV just for walking in the door this weekend . Lemonade out of lemons . |

Julie was both happy they were fired and mad because they wouldn't have fired White cops this fast. My first thought was their union probably sucks. |

Either the police chief is overselling it, or we're going to see a gang beating. CNN makes it sound like even the reason for the stop is questionable. |

What it shows is that much of the police vs citizen stuff is more a class than racial issue……as Nas noted many of these encounters include racial minorities among the officer core. |
