This isn't political or fake. This is what is used these days to sexual mutilate newborn infants in the name of religion. In Africa, its common for females to be "circumcised" when they are young. Had to read a book for an honors world religions course back in college that detailed the whole thing. Apparently its just a common thing across sects; though, its mostly practiced by Muslims and Christians. If you want to go down a rabbit hole of horror, just google African female genital mutilation.
