Remember Aronson Furniture? Quality Furniture, Home of the Credit Connection!! Did u ever buy anything from them? They had 3 locations: 3333 W. 47th St 4630 S. Ashland 1379 N. Milwaukee What did u buy there? And was the furniture decrepit, or was it ok? Maybe your parents shopped there and bought somethin? Pour one out for the RoomPlace, the rebranded Harlem Furniture because everyone came to associate the old name with crap. I'll go back and edit it in later but my favorite Aronson Furniture spot was the one that ran in Spanish, where they not only made the voiceover Spanish but rearranged the music to sound Mexican. With all due respect to our hero Eagle Man, the meta-absurdity of translating the bed was closest any Chicago commercial has come to being an SCTV bit. First time I saw it on FuzzyMemories I doubled over laughing. |
