 When I posted the topic I was aware that it had a HawaiiYou/Estes Hood vibe. It was a serious question though. I asked my wife who is a high tech worker and she gave me some bullshit answer that I felt as if she was making up on the fly. She did point out that there are at least three different sets of Wing Dings.

They used it in WWII to make sure the Nazis couldn't read our Word documents.

Is Pete Hegseth aware of that?

Are Ring Dings and Ding Dongs the same thing? I think there was a controversy and maybe lawsuits involving Hostess and the company that made Ring Dings so Ding Dongs had to be called King Dons in the Detroit area. But I think Interstate Baking may have purchased all the companies so maybe there is no issue anymore.

Ding Dongs were never as good once they went away from the foil wrapper

What is the difference between a Ding Dong and a Ho Ho? Just the shape?

Ho Hos were never as good. The chocolate around the outside of a ho ho was different to me compared to a ding dong.

Ding dong usually bleached blonde. Ho Ho generally with a fat ass in a red light district.

Dingbats--no, seriously, that's what they're called--have been used in typesetting for years. In the days before desktop publishing, you'd have to manually place the little finger pointing to the right, or the card suit symbols for a bridge column, or the little square that said it was the end of a magazine column. Wingdings was the early attempt to put all the dingbats in one place by mapping them to regular characters as a typeface. However, because it was a default font on the Macs that '90s kids grew up using in computer labs, most people just know it as an oddity to fiddle around with when choosing fonts. Most common dingbats are Unicode characters now, which has made a dedicated "font" obsolete.
