Alright. All this troll talk is tiring me. So, I'll admit and take the heat for any trouble that I have caused.

I am the following posters -

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater
Chief Illinimac
Dietrich Knickerbocker
Old Man Potter

and, for a short time, Larry Anderson.

If I have offended and caused respected posters to leave the board, I apologize. I have no rationale other than I found it a diversion and amusing to me. And, selfishly, I only care about my own amusement on this board. To me it was just another form of "joke/entertainment" and I tried not to have it be a virus all over the board.

So, again, I apologize to those that took these personas seriously. No harm was meant and I had thought that the intention of these screen names was farcical and evident.

I hope this can put some of the Troll Era to rest so you all can resume discussing things in a fair and even-handed fashion. EDIT - in a crazed and one-sided fanaticism.

Fire your arrows at me. I concede.

My name is good dolphin. I have also appeared on this site as guest in the days it was allowed. I presently or in the past, have no other aliases. I cannot vouch that it will be true in the future as it seems to be a fashionable passtime.

3 out of 4 of those are fine with me. Chief Illinimac offends me because he doesn't root for Purdue.

Well done on your trolls. All have been good and fun in my opinion.

Really, Mao got annoying but I've learned to ignore him.

By the way, here are my unknown alter egos:

I have not posted as anyone else.

So are you retiring Potter then? I always found him amusing so I hope he doesn't go away for good. Mao is really the only one that bothered me. Even Pickles is fun.

Dietrich's dialect was fun if nothing else, and it provided Baku with a nice sig. I hope to see him again. Potter was starting to grow on me also.

Does this mean you are retiring the above personas?

WOW! A confession thread! Me likey!
I actually was O.K. with your other friends good Dr. I think Mao bothers me the most. Pickles and poofer are annoying, and HUGE has certainly turned himself around in a good way.

One of my favorite Potter posts:

Quote:
Confound it, man! Is he afraid of success? They're offering him a six-year contract with $30 million guaranteed, starting today!

He wouldn't mind living in the nicest house in town, buying his mom a lot of fine clothes, a couple of business trips to New York a year, maybe once in a while NFL Europe.

You wouldn't mind that, would you, JaMarcus?

It's enough money. Get yourself in camp before you end up like the suckers here.

Actually, neither Knickerbocker nor Potter were very annoying- in fact, Potter was OK. There are "trolls" and "characters"; Potter and Knickerbocker were both characters. Mao is a troll. I incorrectly figured, do to the time of registration and other factors, that Mao, Rooney, and Potter were the same person.

I don't really understand the whole multiple screen name thing. I have a hard enough time logging in as myself, let alone 5 or 6 other "people." Hell, there are times that I read a post and have a response but I'm too lazy to post anything, let alone logging out and logging in again as someone else to respond.

Dr. Kenneth Noisewater is my least favorite character from that list.

I liked DK, but did not care for the Chief. Potter was okay but the timing was bad. You did well with them and you picked and chose your times, but I believe most mults detract from the board.

Edit: Good for you for admiting it. You're a man among boys. :D

Well done DR!!!

Yeah, the Potter and Knickerbocker characters were truly inspired. It was somewhat obvious they were the work of Noisewater, though. It's unfortunate that the Noisewater character has really fallen off lately.

Me too.

Couple answers. Frank - no, I am not Mao.

And, yes, these characters are essentially retired. Dietrich was already basically retired. No need for a Salisbury/Patrick superfan when those guys aren't around.

For Potter, it was getting too hard to make up antiquated-sounding ways to insult the lot of you sweat bathers.

The one Old Man Potter gave you back.

Do you know how hard it was to find that picture?

Not too hard. But, in theory, it could have been.

Couldn't you photoshop the shading or shadow of a North photo? I think my parents have some sort of program that will do that stuff with pictures. Somebody here has to know how to do it.

As for the identity of trolls, I don't pay as much attention to posts as the rest of you. I might have to start.
