Post subject: | NFL Network's Replay |
I love watching this. i watched the buffalo/dallas game yesterday. I like this a lot...but I can't help thinking, because I watch FanZone on FSC, that the NFL Network should do this as well with their Replay. Get a fan who is competent and coherent but also TV-friendly from each team playing, and let them commentate on the game they're watching. maybe it wouldn't translate as well, but FanZone is seriously one of the most fun things on TV to watch, and I think it'd be cool for the NFL Network to try this out as well, since they have the rights to these games. What do you think? |

I would assume that there would be some sort of screening program to weed out the "Jurk vs Harry" contestants... |

Zack, I think it would be a challenge to find a coherent and sober NFL fan on a Sunday, what time/channel is Fan Zone on? |

i'm not sure when they record it, but it's usually aired on Thursday nights and then replayed on the weekends..it's on FSC (Fox Soccer Channel). English football fans are some of the most rabid in the world, i'm sure if they can find 2 for FSC they can find 2 NFL football fans that can add something fun. There's also running instant messages at the bottom of the screen from fans around the world that they'll comment on, which is pretty funny too. I like watching it because it gives you more of an intimate feel of the game, and you get a lot of gossip, something you can't always get from watching Fox Soccer Report or SkySports News. |

I don't mean to frighten you, but Murph's football prognosticator, the Duke, just said he would like to see the same show. He said instead of announcers, show guys who have money on the game. Are you advising this guy? |

Are you advising this guy? I heard that too. I think W_Z has been in Duke's briefs. W_Z Duke = MATCH! |

keep it. sounds like a good opportunity to ham it up for the camera to the point where they become stereotypes of a particular team's fandom. a bears/packers game would be unbearable. a lot of "da bears, coachhhhh, polish saasage" and a healthy does of "fah-v-re and cheesehead jokes" EDIT: i just realized that i just described MJH to a T! |
