Post subject:  CSFMB Year-End Voting (Rookie Of The Year)

Regular Reader – He’s a very knowledgeable guy on the board and a darn funny guy in person. He isn’t the most frequent poster but when he does post something, it’s either very informative or very humorous. Since registering on 11/26/2006, he’s never backed down from a discussion of politics, weekly douchebags, Halle Berry, Carlos Boozer or anything else that happen to arise. Some of his best “smack” posted recently was an awesome rant on Mike North. He’s a confirmed “brotha”, one of the nicest guys on the board and a man who resembles his love parents Sir Mix-A-Lot and Chris Zorich. He’s Regular Reader!

HappyHourJason – Say the word NARC and only one guy comes to mind. Since making his CSFMB debut on 12/6/2006, this silly billy has never met a section or thread he didn’t contribute to. Whether it’s a sarcastic comment, a heartfelt emoticon, or the aforementioned “NARC” proclamation, Jason is everywhere on this board making his presence felt. Jason was recently at the forefront of controversy this past October when he leapt out of the closet and admitted that he’s had sex with a man. Hot steamy sex. Naked. With a guy…not that there’s anything wrong with that. He’s the poster that the trolls love to stalk and he even appeared in one of my dreams as the infamous “mystery girl.” He’s HappyHourJason!

Mopery – His early days on the board were shrouded in controversy when, posting as Tummy Sticks, Mike North threatened to sue his ass. He quickly joined the CSFMB relocation program and on 1/12/2007, changed his identity to the persona we all know and love…Mopery. He is one of the more low-key posters here but don’t let that fool you. The man has a good sense of humor and he’s one of the few people here who actually reads my posts. He also recently invited Buryman to come over and “hang” his Christmas “lights.” For his sake, I just hope they were well-hung. I give you…the mope-man himself…Mopery!

Irish Boy – A board member since 3/14/2007, he has also enjoyed brief stints as a Black Irish Boy and a Hot Sexy Irish Girl. Unfortunately, he was only an Irish Girl for about the same length of time that Good Dolphin was a black woman. Irish Boy is a very intelligent young man whose master-debating skills are right up there with the more established CSFMB know-it-alls like Tall Midget, Good Dolphin, MattInTheCrown, and others. When he’s not participating in a 6-page philosophical or political debate, he’s…uh…um…well that’s really all he does here. But it’s valuable nonetheless. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s Irish Boy!

Magic 1 – Magic not only unleashes his venom on the message board, but he also unleashes it on the microphone. When Magic made his CSFMB debut on 5/24/2007, his very first post was an inspirational diss to Dan Bernstein:
Magic 1 wrote:
He's so easily flustered for a guy that is so pompous. You can almost see the wings of his maxipad flaring up when he gets into one of his rages.
He then followed up with this gem:
Magic 1 wrote:
Bro, I may be new to this site, but I'm not a rook when it comes to talking smack.
With that, a new CSFMB slang term was born and our friend has been talking mad “smack” ever since. Magic also created one of the most memorable thread titles ever: “That Sonic Commercial With The Two burritos…”, and in fact nothing seems to make him angrier than a stupid commercial. He recently had a great Bears pissing match with Irish Boy. I present to you…Magic 1!

Ryno’s Wife – Intelligent, funny, and she has boobs. She’s the one who makes Kid Cairo’s heart race - the one who gets my blood circulating in the right place. She took baby steps to CSFMB acceptance after her 5/31/2007 debut. In her early posting life, she didn’t have much of a presence here on the board, but that all changed when Ryno revealed that she is the older sister of fellow poster Darkside. Shortly thereafter, she and I became a CSFMB item and there was no stopping her. Ryno’s Wife’s ultimate moment of fame took place during the infamous 10/19 edition of Ugueth’s Boredom Thread when Ryno’s story of an experience with a flashlight shook the message board to its very foundation. She has recently been on hiatus following minor pissing matches with her brother Darkside and with Bulldog Scott but rest assured, she’ll be back soon. Let’s show some love for my girl, Ryno’s Wife!

FavreFan – As an avid fan of Brett Favre and the Packers, FavreFan faced hostility from day one (most of it coming from Frank Cozstanza). In fact, only Nas had to go through more agony to gain acceptance on this board. After his 6/29/2007 registration, FavreFan’s first month or so was spent trying to stop every thread from turning into a “Packer vs. Bears” circle-jerk. FavreFan is an informed sports fan and is certainly opinionated, but he at least tries to back up his claims with facts rather than just arguing for the sake of it. He posts in almost every section and it only took him a few months to amass over 2,000 posts. That’s phenomenal and it has to be a CSFMB record. Hell, there are guys who registered in 2005 who still have less than 1,000 posts. The best way to describe FavreFan would be as a very good all-around poster. In fact he might just be the Caron Butler of the CSFMB. It’s FavreFan!

Kid, Regular Reader reularly read and posted for a long time. I recall his Sox posts in 2005 and a very moving account of post hurricane events. I love his work, but he's no rookie.

I don't think anyone can debate that Tummy Sticks Mopery came to this board with the biggest flourish. The guy was an impact player from day 1.

I had to go with Irish Boy. His recent philosophical exchange, and his willingness to offer his legal expertise is a winner in my book.

I had to go with IB. Anyone who feels compelled to do research and cite sources for an argument on a message board (even if he's wrong) has to win something.

HHJ was second in my rankings but fell short due to the padding of his post count with the word "Narc."

FF came next. Anyone who can completely carry a thread by responding to his own posts should also get something....probably therapy.

Relax Regular's Troll. There will be a vote for Troll Of The Year.

Along those same lines, Mopery pierced that fourth wall by creating a real side to this virtual board. Some say he is the inspiration for the hit film Enchantment.

You're getting out-politicked, Irish. HHJ is sending out PMs asking for votes. The presidential candidates and snubbed BCS coaches would be proud.

As an inteligent guy with U of I nexus, IB has my vote. But, he might need to go back to Hot Sexy Irish Girl to have a chance at winning this thing.

i'd give up the fight IB. in this world where people eat up tabloid stories, there's no way to compete with a good gay celebrity story.
