Athletic Director - Liar. Just accused of perjury. Defensive Coordinator - Accused of being gay. |

Former defensive coordinator not accused of being gay, being accused of being a child molester. That's much worse. The AD is an idiot, if he did purger himself, Paterno apparently was honest and reported the issues and investigation. The guy retired when I was in college, so I can't imagine that it will affect Penn State...but if it does involve current coaches/players...then it could be a huge mess. |

I have heard of another institution that has a lot of Child molesters, but people still love going there. |

I realize this has been said, but the former coordinator was NOT "accused" of being "gay". He has been charged with multiple charges of child sexual abuse, including charges with an under 13 year old. There is a HUGE difference between being gay and being a sexual predator against children. /off soapbox But I support this nomination. |

Not even a Vendetta, maybe one of the worst things in our society of what they did, been allowed to do and who knows what still goes on. Was just watching the docementary about St Patricks Basketball program in New Jersey and the Hurley, Sr is complaining about the people sueing the churches and taking the money in settlements, leaving them no money for the schools AKA The Programs. I would suggest Hurley just go start a BBall prep high school. Thats basically what he is doing now. Guys do it all over the nation, I think Findlay prep in Las Vegas was started 6 years ago and they are loaded with talent. They get sponsored and they have a school. It's possible to teach kids good ethics and morals and not have it done under the guise of religion. |

Findlay prep is a crazy concept perfectly executed by the mafia. There is also wiseguy private high school football programs too... How long can these sham high schools go on? |

Paterno's needs to get out now. Even if you buy the "he did what he was supposed to do" (I don't) he knowingly allowed Sandusky to keep on raping at PSU. |

So as a coach, when you become aware of a crime being committed by someone in your employ, you go straight to the the AD? |

I will not comment on if the president of the university (and thus my boss) should step down, however I think this case may show how out of it Paterno has been for the last ten years and this case may force the school to ask for his resignation. I don't think Paterno will do it voluntarily - he is (deathly) afraid he is going to pull an Andy Rooney, or in football speak, a Bear Bryant that he will not voluntarily step down (or even name a successor). |

Wow, I just read the accounts and it's really incredible the number of incidents that occurred on Penn St. grounds and nobody ever reported or insisted that authorities investigate this. It's really sickening that it was just allowed to continue. |

It's quite the story. Especially with the DA who didn't go after Sandusky on the charges in 1999 disappearing and being presumed dead with his laptop and wiped hard drive found in 2 different locations. |

The basketball coach at my high school molested a couple of his players. The school administration did nothing but force him to resign. The authorities were never contacted. To my knowledge, he has gone on to coach at other schools. |

I'd be suprised if we don't hear about a recruit. He held a lot of power over a lot of young men. |
