Might as well get another weather thread going. There was snow on the ground when I woke up this morning. Lots of accidents reported on Lake Shore. Apparently people forget how to drive immediately at the sight of snow. |

So this pretty much means we're going to get about a quarter of an inch, tops...right? |

Who knows. We're due for a dumping (hey hey!), that's for sure. Snowstorms are extremely tricky to predict because the slightest change in wind patters or temperature can totally change the forecasts. That's why they usually don't know exactly how much snow we're going to get until 12-24 hours before the storm hits. |

As long as there is no S-word I don't care how cold it gets. I'm good with cold and windy weather. |

I'm the opposite. I like the snow but hate the cold. Maybe we should live together. We would make an odd couple. |

It doesn't have to do with the calender. It has to do with the angle of the sun thru the Nothern Hemisphere. I get what you are saying, but still. Its been 3 weeks. Its been a very mild late fall and early winter, but there's a long way to go yet. |

Thanks Tommy Skilling. March is the month with the most significant increase in daily temperature resulting in the common perception that winter has ended far earlier than the arrival of the vernal equinox. |

I tried going golfing the other day when it was like 45 degrees, but not many courses seem to be open around me. |

Cog Hill-- #1 and #3-- is open year round. Fresh Meadows in Hillside and Meadows Golf Club in Blue Island are also open year round. I don't know if its year round or not, but Big Run (which is impossible ) in Lockport was open this past weekend |
