Wrong.

And Elin already won.

I'd say Rory is the favorite to win at this point. Tiger is in the top ten though.

Luke Donald's my pick.

Placed money on K.J. Choi at 25 to 1 odds.

but not quite as bad as your movie reviews.

Jeffrey Tambor cant and wont be denied. You cant hold him down anymore.

Im interested what your problem is though. Its a thread about a HUGE upcoming sporting event. There was a story yesterday that serves as a preview.

Is it my prediction? Where are Tiger's odds? Certainly top ten right?

He was the favorite this week at the Honda Classic, and I have to assume he will be the favorite every time he is in the field.

Those odds are terrible. Should be 40-1 or 50-1.

I'll take the field. Augusta isn't the place to get your putting straightened out.

Here are odds for the 2012 Masters at bovada.lv (formerly bodog):

McIlroy 9/2
Woods 5/1
Lefty 9/1
Westwood 12/1
Donald 22/1
Scott 28/1
Day 33/1
Snedeker 50/1

Choi 66/1

There are a couple of tasty longshots there.

So you're telling me I need to have a conversation with the kid who placed my bet at a sportsbook in Vegas?

You have a baseball bat? Meet me in an hour. We have a little visitation to attend to.

He didn't shop around for a better price. I'm sure there were better odds to be found. Like I said, bovada has Choi at 66-1.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Schwartzel in there again this year. At least in the top 10.
Still too early for any predictions from me. I picked the winner last year but that won't
happen ever again. I can't make any guesses for a few more weeks. I like Dustin Johnson
but he has to putt out of his mind to win. That course is set up perfect for him.

I really dislike his short game. His last match in the Accenture Match Play was atrocious.

Oh his game is far from perfect and it will never be easy for him to win on that course but
with his length, on the right week he could run away with the thing by a long margin. Too many
moving parts in his game. Still wouldn't count him out.

I wouldn't say I'm his most staunch hater. Not even close. Spany has that role on this board.

My thoughts on Tiger are simple: I'm highly disappointed in how long it has taken him to bounce back. I'm even more disappointed in how dishonest he is to his fans when questioned about his struggles. Just call it what it is: you're mentally drained and lost your confidence.

Well said. I'm sure to him that would look like he's mentally weak so he won't go that route.

Agreed. I think that is the main reason why he is so polarizing among people who follow the game. Tiger has built himself up (undoubtedly with the help of his father) to being "better" than other people. Like he's some sort of superhuman or something.

I think it would be a positive thing for him to simply let his guard down a bit and start acting like a real human being for awhile. People are much more forgiving if you admit your mistakes openly and show some humility. He doesn't quite seem to agree with that train of thought.

Author:  T-Bone [ Mon Mar 05, 2012 11:44 am ]
Post subject:  Re: The 2012 Masters

I think Tiger can do that by showing some humility and maybe shed a tear or two the next time he wins a
major. I think he will come close this year in at least 2. If he gets that putter going he is going to be
tough to beat.

And if he doesn't win he can just fire more people.

Post subject:  Re: The 2012 Masters

I think he will win three tournaments this year with one being a major. He has been playing decent and not
anywhere near his best yet.

At some point he's just going to fire his putter, who will then turn around a write a book about him.

The Masters is his best chance to win a major.
