I've heard mixed reviews, but it would be nice to take when needed. . . If it actually works.

I've tried it twice. Worked well both times, lasted at least 5 hours, and didn't steamroll me the first hour, but was rather controlled. Fewer bathroom stops than the equivalent coffee!

Sometimes they do work sometimes they don't. Most of the time if I'm really really tired,no cup of coffee,5 hour drink, red bull, whatever, is going to keep me awake.

I know a lot of people that have to work long hours and most haven't liked it. It works, as in it makes your heart race and you feel kind of strange. I guess it's possible you get used to it but if anything start slow and don't drink a whole bottle.

Energy drinks like RedBull and Monster make my heart race, but 5 hour energy does not.

It works very well.

Took one yesterday. I didnt sleep well the night before. Slept like 4 hours. So on my way home yesterday around 3, with 4 hours of playing with and chasing my 5 year old ahead, I grabbed one.

Its not like energy drinks. Doesnt make you jittery. And there's no crash.

At least to me.

I also use it occassionally when going out on Friday nights, since I wake up around 445. If Im going out til 2 or 3 am, gonna need a little boost.

I wouldnt reccommend using them daily (like theyre adverstising is leaning recently) but for the once in a while use...I fully endorse it.

It takes about 2 minutes to kick in. It lasts the full 5 hours without a crash.

Yeah because 5 hour energy is that stuff without the sugar and carbonation.

I think

Interesting. I've never tried it because my body is a temple and needs to be treated as such. The people who took it seemed to think it was the niacin in it that they didn't like.

You're thinking of cocaine.

Everyone's body is different. If you try it and it you have energy for five hours, then it works. Otherwise, it doesn't. Pretty simple?

I actually found this stuff at a truck stop in oklahoma or kansas. I think it lasted on the market for about a month before it got banned everywhere.

Careful energy drinking and boozing.

This should be common sense but dont take a 5 hour energy and then start drinking jack and coke's all night

I know some jerk that did that and his heart started racing and felt like he was on coke.

if you try cocaine a few times and aren't hooked, then it's not addictive

Maybe he was. People can be very discreet when tooting booger sugar.

Being hooked and not feeling the effects are two different things. Some people just are not impacted by these drinks.

Agreed. I once saw a man snort a line off of a hooker's left temple without making a sound.

No, I dont put stuff up my nose.

I just idiotically threw back several jack and cokes after taking an energy shot

Felt weird

Your first mistake was drinking JD. The second mistake was introducing Coca-Cola with booze.

Jack and Cokes = hangover

I really like 5 Hour Energy. In my opinion, it works exactly as the commercial says it will.

Jack Daniels and energy drinks/shots on Friday is a recipe for a Home Depot drywall run on Sunday.

What does this mean? You have so much energy you can re0finish the basement?

As a constant consumer of energy drinks, 5 hour energy, and pop - I agree, 5 hour energy really does work well. It just tastes bad.

Most people I know that regularly drink Jack end up punching, or yelling at things.
