Looking at BF's Global announcement,so far it's just BF,Spmack,me and a piece of food. (Who' is Snack Cookie??) Has the SCORE outpriced it's little shindig to the masses or is it my participation that has scared off everybody? If those tickets don't move on the CSFMB board, where the hell do they move?

Last BB event, I tried to get a deal for 2 tables from Mitch. Maybe 20% off if we bought 16 tickets, etc. Well he told me they are selling and would sell out. So they couldn't do that.

Maybe, just maybe they get to the point of not selling and we see what happens.

If they don't sell, he'll probably pay you 20% of the ticket price just to come.

Anyway, where are all the other Score Phantics: Scorehead, OKC, Speeps, RNM & Hoffy, KS, etc.? KS probably blew his last social security check on WrestleMania, so he has an excuse not to show.

Maybe after the Ozzie roast they're trying to keep the price high enough that nobody will start any crap with people they don't like.

What is the bar package like at these things? I know that UV Vodka is a sponsor, does that mean that's they front the Belvidere a couple of cases of UV and it's taken off the Score's bill? I mean, UV is basically well vodka.

They are still promoting tickets hard. They've got to be disappointed with the turnout so far. What were they costing?

This is what happens when you throw a party for yourself and charge people to be your friends. Low turnout.

They could have rented out Dyche stadium and throw the world's largest Pizza & Beer party.

The B&B roast had a big turnout.....so what's the difference?

(I'm really asking, no sarcasm).

Personal opinion is it was promoted differently. It wasn't hey guys we are The Score you know you want to hang with us!! It was more Dan and Terry getting made fun of and actually sounded fun. Nothing that has been said about the 20th anniversary party has really sounded entertaining or fun. And the whole roast idea is overdone. Had they just rented out a bar and had an atmosphere where you could interact with people from the station I think it would have been much better. Makes it approachable and like you really want people who listen to you to be there. Charging $100 makes it exclusive instead of inclusive I think.

EDIT: That being said I still look forward to the tweets about it

Really good thoughts. Similar impression I've gotten. Just feels like a big patting on the back party charging people to be around them.

That said, I'm sure it'll be drunk and fun and you'll get some great stories etc. The promotion of the event was very different though.

You guys were spot on. I was actually thinking about these posts while I was there.

something tells me spmack would've enjoyed a "friday the 13th" marathon over this event, in retrospect.

I'm hearing that many of the current Score guys didn't go either. Weak sauce.

Post subject:  Re: SCORE Party: Destined to Flop?

From all accounts it lacked a ton.

Before KI comes on giving Larry credit for it not being a great event, part of the reason it was not a great event is that Larry was there.

For a guy who claims he is such a huge part of the station to downplay such an event and not be involved is pretty crappy. Same goes for Spiegs, Danny B. etc.

To their defenses, I would assume nobody really asked to do anything specific outside of being there.

Thanks to BF for not attending which in turn changed my mind. 100 bucks saved.

They should have just had an all day remote, huge open bar and let anyone and everyone who has ever worked at the station on the air throughout the day.

That sounds better than what actually happened.

Although I'm sure that would've led to some problems with unruly guests.

Neither did Rosenbloom.

No Sweica, Ofman, Huebner, T-Dub, Hood, Buffone, OB, Memelo, Rogers, or Riles.

The fact that quite a few of the current guys didn't make it tells you something.

It was pretty much a glorified remote. The only person who was really "roasted" was Murph. I would have been pissed if I had spent $100 for tickets.
