Have a car that needs stereo replaced. Speakers, amp, sub, wiring all are ok...just need a new-working stereo. Looking for suggestions for places where I can buy & have it installed...and have it obviously work, but look good (professional installation) as well. appreciate any input.

Ps - western suburbs. Thx.

You should consider an audio consultant if you want to make sure you get the right equipment - optimized for sound quality and cosmmetic fit for the specs of your car. I'd recommend Ron Johnson, Audio Consultant.

I wouldn't do that on a leased vehicle.

I trust you have already installed the airbag controlled suspension before you are putting this system in.

Wrong, Eazy E. Alpine is a brand that people who don't really know love. It's just okay. I've been away from this business for a long time so I can't really think of anyone in the western suburbs. My guy Mun at M&K at about 2800 N. Cicero will hook you up if you come into the city. Clean install without killing you in price.

Here's a couple pictures of a show car some guys from Kansas City built with my partner and me. This thing was badass. Peoples heads snapped around when I drove it off the trailer. Pretty hard to do on the Vegas strip. It had a phosphorous paint job and glowed in the dark.

Wrong. Which would you list ahead that still exist. Nakamichi is history. I was a big fan of Kenwood's Exelon series BITD as well....But I digress. I don't even know what brands are still out there. The sound quality you are going to get is gonna depend a lot on the speakers anyways.

I'm in the same boat. Like I said, I've been away from that business for a long time.

On the speaker end, which was my specialty, the Asian stuff has improved in quality so much that it's tough to compete on price with an American-made driver.

Did you guys really just tell each other you're wrong, but basically admit you don't know what you're talking about due to "being out of the biz" for so long?
