We actually sat down and agreed to keep our yappers shut if we win. We'd probably have to move immediately as some of the family are...from the wrong side of the tracks so to speak. We actually discussed it. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Also from a statistical standpoint, you cannot play a round of golf for $1...or even $5 or $10*. With this Mega Millions, you pay as little as $1 and at least have a chance at winning, however small that may be.

And you could win smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers.


*without having won a contest, or being a member of a country club, etc.

I'm going to try to win next week when it's down to $20 million and less people are playing. My odds will be better and I think I can scrape by on the smaller amount.

Given the exceptionally large pot, the expected value of the $1 ticket actually would be greater than a $1. However, given the number of tickets sold, the higher likelihood that there will be multiple winners pushes that value back down to around $0.90, which is still exceptionally high for a drawing of this kind.

So, all in all, it's not a bad bet.

Yeah I tried to set it up online but they ask for a SSN and they couldn't verify me, and I tried to call the number and couldn't get thru....
