Tenants in the office building at 1 E. Wacker Drive received a memo encouraging them to stay away from wearing suits, urging workers to "look like a protester". A spokeswoman for Los Angeles-based CBRE Inc., which manages the building, declined to comment on any NATO security measures. What say you CSFMB? Is this a good idea? Personally, I would go with a big no. Not sure how things work in LA, but when CPD starts swinging billy clubs I think I want to look differently than those causing the problems. Maybe it's just me. What say you CSFMB? Is this a good idea? Personally, I would go with a big no. Not sure how things work in LA, but when CPD starts swinging billy clubs I think I want to look differently than those causing the problems. Maybe it's just me. Living vaguely south/west loop, we got a 2 page memo on the door this week, trying to warn us out of town. "Consider leaving town, May 18-22" which seemed laughable at first, but then reading a little further down: "Anticipate 100+ motorcades each day the Summit is in progress and rolling street closures to accomodate motorcades and protestors and security measures" screw that, getting out of town that weekend. |
