Now come on, BC. It isn't like they legalized child porn. They simply made a common sense decision that the mere act of viewing child porn isn't a crime in and of itself.

For example, if a member of the CSFMB were to post an unidentified link to child porn and you happened to click on it and your computer cached a copy of it, you wouldn't be guilty of a crime if said cache were later discovered during the seizure of your computer over a tax matter or something. In that case, you don't really think you were a criminal, do you?

Right. If child porn is "legal" in New York than it's legal in a lot of other states too.

Whenever there's a news story about a Shocking New Decision From Some Court, there's a much better chance the journalists are the ones who are mucking things up than there is that the decision is truly shocking.
