Seems to me that if prior to 9/11 they were searching every Middle eastern / Arabic person before boarding a plane we would still have 2 towers standing in NYC and 2000 plus Americans still alive.

Sorry to say but Terrorists especially those who target planes fit a profile. 1968 for El Al. 2006 5 years after 9/11 for us with the underwear bomber. If we did the same as El Al that dude would never have got on a plane.

You say they profile. Reality says they go to extreme measures for EVERYONE who flies them.

You took quite a leap here. Our disagreement surrounded your reference to EL AL's supposed racial profiling and somehow led you to conclude that I am unpatriotic. I hesitate to go down the path of proving my patriotism since it's insulting to anyone with a brain but I guess it's OK for you. My Dad was a WWII vet. My Father-in-law a Korean War Vet. My brother-in-law a Vietnam Vet. My other brother-in-law was a a graduate of the USNA and a Navy pilot. I love and respect them all. I am also a proud American...except for when I am forced to endure racism couched as patriotism.
