I enjoyed reading a good John Kass column (while I still can do it free). He's been doing it for a while and is usually very good. Kass is now doing what every Chicago Tribune reporter is doing...carrying a video camera with him wherever he goes and taping something...which in this case is usually himself. Yes, for a while he did it when he had a "funny" skit or something he wanted to do (Greek turkey recipe with ma). Now he files a video and a column. It is true he may be able to connote a little more fire and passion during these little two minute snippets, but come on man. Richard M. Daley gave better press conferences than some of this stumbling stuff you throw on the website. I am not in a position to throw stones, but ya got a face for the typeset media. Stick to it or clean these little videos up. |

I saw him do an attack interview onetime and thought he was a bum assaulting the guy. |

I can see that. The written word is his best form of communication. He can get his point across without letting his personality/personal bias completely get in the way. |
