of course I have a DSLR, but in the past couple of years have found it much more fun to shoot with my old film cameras. bought a slide projector and everything. good wholesome fun! :P

I shoot with a Canon HV40. Not sure if that has to do with what you're talking about, but I just figured I'd throw it out there.

no. photographs. you know, kodak, darkrooms, smile, say cheese sort of thing.

before today's cameras they had this thing called "film" you put in a camera an then you'd send it to a "lab" where they would turn it into pretty pictures for you.

Yes - I was going through some unpacked boxes two months ago and I found an old polaroid. The kids had never heard of it before, so we went to Walgreen's, bought some polaroid instant film and took 20+ pictures of the kids playing in the yard that Sunday morning.

That evening we scanned the photos and I was able to email them to their Aunt who missed my daughter's first communion. She kinda suprised them later by having her husband print them from his color laser printer and submit them to their school's yearbook editor! Not only were the shots in the year book, but one of the girls in my son's class uploaded/posted one of the pics to instigram. My wife was pretty much in tears when I downloaded the pic/caption and printed the picture for her and included it in her mother's day card. Last weekend she put it in her scrapbook.
