While I no longer consider the Sports Authority to be the best sports equipment retailer, I was in the general vicinity and figured I would pick up elbow pads. Havent bought hockey equipment from them in years, but I remember them having at least a decent display and basic equipment. First, I couldnt find the hockey display. They dont even list it in the aisle categories. When I did find the display, the only things for sale were cheap sticks, bags and tape. No elbow pads, etc. What surprised me even more was the sports that were more prominently displayed. I can understand Lacrosse, but frisbee golf??? Fuck my sport if we cant be more popular than frisbee golf. |

I'm sure Crystal Lake has one, they have a pretty big rink. |

The article also said an exhibition soccer match had higher ratings. Does that move hockey into 5th sport territory? |

I think the only thing that would be more embarrassing than losing to Mike & Molly would be losing to According to Jim For the record, the final round of the Master's this past April had over 17 million viewers. |

So for the major event in each sport Better Than Hockey: - Super Bowl - World Series - NBA Finals - BCS Bowl - NCAA Basketball Final - World Cup Final - Masters - MMA - Daytona 500 - Indy 500 ---------- Stanley Cup Finals ---------- Worse Than Hockey: - Wimbledon What did I miss? |

If the Wimbledon finals were on at a decent time (I think they are always aired starting at 8:00 AM on the weekend of the Finals), I would watch them too, and they would also probably get a much better rating. |
