1) Aside from different racial groups, it is nothing like the Martin case as this couple was jumped by a mob, not killed by an individual. 2) Not covered by the media for several reasons such as it happens way too frequently (see chicago mobs attacking people recently) and reporting black on white crime is sketchy for the media as it is often seen as racist. 3) Not a hate crime as whites are not a protected class. Maybe the woman or if the guy was gay, but since a straight white man was one of the victims it will not be classified as a hate crime. Be that right or wrong. |
