Canada-based Blackberry maker Research in Motion said it will begin
“significant layoffs” this year and that it has “reduced some positions as
part of its program and may continue to do so as the company methodically
works through a review of business.” The Associated Press reported.

RIM is expected to detail the layoffs and other changes during its June 28
quarterly report. RIM previously cut 2,000 jobs last year, decreasing its
workforce to 16,500 employees.

Peter Misek, a Jefferies analyst, told the AP that he is estimating about
6,000 employees to lose their jobs. “They can’t jeopardize the company.
They have to give BlackBerry 10 a number of shots. If they release a
BlackBerry 10 device and it’s a good device, but it does OK, they’ll want
to pull off an even better device shortly thereafter, and if you don’t have
an appropriate cost structure you might wipe out your cash before you have
an opportunity.”

The Boston Globe reported that RIM closed at $10.33 on the Nasdaq, with a
drop of 3.9 percent.

Not sure what u r looking for. In good times...he was a Heisman candidate and was going to sign with the bears...or some team...and then proceeded to break his leg. Think it was maybe jj's fault...but pretty sure it wasn't that jj was giving him a RIM job!

He was running down the aisle at the end of his wedding. JJ was the photographer. He was standing in the aisle and accidentally tripped him causing the knee injury that derailed his football career after he was drafted but before he signed his contract with the Bears.

I am confident Angelo would have still signed him to a contract, Lovie would have given him a rookie redshirt year and we would be wondering whether he could play going into training camp of year three.
