Royal Lytham & St. Annes 'tis a silly place.

Winning score should be pretty low for a major considering the slow conditions. Thinking 7-under or lower.

Picking Rickie Fowler or Lee Westwood this week.

Tiger finishes Top-10.

Bubba misses the cut.

Darren Clarke gets lost.

Rory McIlory and Luke Donald throw the one true ring into Mordor.

Lytham literally has bunkers between bunkers. Players will have the typical fairway bunkers to worry about off the tee and the typical bunkers guarding the green, but they also have a third set of hazards between those two sets. You know, just in case a player has to lay-up at any point.

Be ready to get up extra early if you're going to tune in. Coverage starts at...wait for it...4a (CT) starting tomorrow for ESPN's exclusive coverage of the Open Championship across the Pond.

I watched from 3:30 until just afterf 6. Weather was perfect for the early groups but heard the wind
may whip up in the afternoon. Woods was playing really well as was Adam Scott. Course looked to
be in really nice shape. Was strange watching them play with absolutely no wind to speak of.

Low scores being shot. Guys are making the course look like a shitty local 9 hole.

Talk when he plays well over the weekend, something he hasn't done in a major since the 2011 Master's.

Lawdy, Adam Scott's round was so good.

64 (6-under; flirted with 62, which would have been best major round ever), 13/18 greens (72%), 10/14 fairways (71%), 1.4 putts per hole, avg. 317 off the tee.

Rory McIlory about to miss his second consecutive cut at a major after shooting 75 today. Still hasn't found his pot-o-gold, though.

Phil Mickelson is definitely not "back". 11-over for the tournament, on a plane en route to the closest Waffle House.
