I know we have had these threads before but I don't think many read on a consistient basis here. With summer vacations and holidays people tend to read more while travelling so just curious if anyone had any recent finds. I just finished a book I really enjoyed which I will mention below. I'll be going on a long business trip and was just curious if anyone had suggestions. I am open to pretty much anything. Book I just finished was called The Art of Fielding. A Storm of Swords. Lucifers Hammer. The Easter Offensive. I have "On Strategy: A Critical Analysis of the Vietnam War" on the way from Amazon. Thinking about starting the Judge Dreed: Case File collections as well. |

One of my NYE resolutions was to read a book a month this year. We are now in July and I have read 12 books to date. This feat was obviously simple for me to accomplish as I have a Masters degree and am able to read many different types of words, thus making me intellectually superior to most of you. Books I would recommend: 11/22/63 by Stephen King Stillpower: The Inner Source of Athletic Excellence by Garrett Kramer Lamb by Christopher Moore The Longest Shot: Jack Fleck, Ben Hogan, and Pro Golf’s Greatest Upset at the 1955 U.S. Open by Neil Sagebeil Any of the Game of Thrones books. Funny thing. My eyes are starting to go recently and it totally killed my interest in reading. Now, all I have to do is put on a pair of cheaters, but still, I figure if I can't do it naturally, I don't want to do it at all. |

Lamb is a great book. If you liked that I'd suggest "a dirty job" by the same author. His other books are okay. I've been reading the complete works of Sherlock Holmes. I also read the Mistborn trilogy by Sanderson, they were great. |

So far: Finished the ESPN book Started the SNL book by the same authors Read the first 2 parts of the Guillermo Del Toro "Strain" Trilogy Have a book about Columbine coming in the mail in the next week or so |

I've read "It's So Easy (And Other Lies) - The Duff Mckagan autobiography. (Fantastic read). All 3 books in the "Fifty Shades" trilogy. My wife made me read them after she fell in love with them, and I thank her for that.  And I've started "Liverpool football club: You'll never walk alone" on my Kindle, though I prefer actual paper based books. Coming up next, Hitch-22. |

Green Eggs and Ham. Very good message in there, I dont want to blow the ending for any of you, but DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE Sam I am. Recently started Go Dog Go. Looks like a story of some cool dogs and their crazy bitches having a party. |

Masks of the Illuminati by Robert Anton Wilson A very underrated book. I find it on par w/ the Illuminatus! Trilogy, but much less complicated. |

Was looking for something light to read the next 2 weeks before my trip so I picked up The Hunger Games trilogy. I'm about 100 pages into the first book and it is pretty good. Interesting story idea, kind of like The Running Man for young adults. I'll probably pick up Game Of Thrones for the trip. I picked it up and at over 700 pages of small type it just seemed a bit too daunting for me right now. I may even need to buy some readers. |

Did some light reading earlier when I read The Godfather. Good read if you have never read it. It also goes into details on certain things that they didn't in the movie and some of the things in the movie that were very detailed were not as big in the book. |
