If Chuy was smart he cut back on campaign expenses and will now have a nice nest egg for himself.

That's worse than Chuy with his brains beaten out. I hope you're not cheerleading for that. This guy is the head of the Chamber of Boarded Up Buildings on Halsted. I wouldn't let that goof wash my fucking dog.

I have a pretty good sense of Pat. Worked with him for a year, had no idea who he was. Ate Lunch with the guy all the time, hung out, etc. I will agree 100% no genius, but he is still better than CHUY in the intelligence department. However, I think we all know what we will get with PT as Mayor and I dont think it will be good. I suggest you get yours before it is all gone!

Chuy's wife looks a little like Elisabeth Moss, but thicker and Mexican.

I guess we can all sleep at night knowing that Rahm won't take our rich people away and Chicago won't become Detroit. Rahm better save his biggest thanks of all for Karen Lewis's brain tumor: thanks to that dangerous mass, he didn't have to worry about a far larger dangerous mass.

Karen Lewis becoming mayor and the following year telling all the teachers who elected her to get fucked during negotiations would of been awesome to watch unfold.

If The Republican nominee beats Hillary for President, Rahm runs for Prez 4 years later. If Hillary wins, he waits 8 years.

Right?

Why do you think she would have been more of a foe? She had terrible ideas.

She wanted a "Chicago tax" on the rich people! She didnt say what it was , just Tax the rich. You think thats a clear thought? She got the same support from the teachers unions that CHUY got and I think CHUY did a better job than she would of have, of campaigning.

You cause an uproar , you get many of the disenchanted to support you....these are all great, but doesnt make you qualified in anyway to be mayor and a majority of voters saw that.

There's really only one qualification for office in the U.S.- getting enough people to vote for you.

Of course Lewis was going to be tougher for Rahm to handle. She's about a million times more articulate than Chuy. There's no way she was going to be stammering around about how to handle a problem. And more than that, she wasn't going to allow Rahm and his people to turn the election into a referendum on her competence when there are very few good things to say about Rahm's tenure.

Might have agreed with you if he hadn't been taken to a runoff by a kid who is still in school IN THE 11TH WARD. That, out of all the results in this election cycle, should have been the biggest news.

He is a solid guy with a good moral compass. He is much more like John Daley than Rich Daley.

I saw that kid box his ears TWICE in debates on Chicago Tonight. I mean Kolzar just took him apart. Thompson sounded like a stuttering stammering fool. He sounded like a Daley. Maybe he should be mayor.

The person most emboldened to run for mayor in 4 years by this election is Waguespack. I see him as a guy who will perpetually say he is thinking about running and then doesn't have the fortitude to take the step. He will defer to another member of the Progressive Caucus. I expect it would be Moreno as he has limitless ambition and demographic strength.

I believe you're right about Proco Joe. One of my friends appears like he may be his heir apparent in the First Ward.

There is also shakes' guy Riley who has no small opinion of himself, has Madigan backing and also represents a high profile ward

There will be an African American candidate who will emerge but there seems to be a huge void in leadership right now. Kwame Rauol is always looking for higher office but I think he wants Washington DC. My guess would be Burns from the near south side

 We have to get you up to date, Seacrest. You've been out in the suburbs too long. The First Ward is now an Hispanic stronghold.

That is an incredibly diverse ward. Any open seat will draw many candidates

Taylor Street is now coupled with Pilsen, China Town, etc. under the 25th Ward. Some might be in the gerrymandered 2nd or possibly a little in the 27th.

If Emmanuel pulls Chicago out of this mess by 2019 he will have earned another four years

If he can get the pensions funded without a taxpayer revolt he should probably be Mayor-for-Life.

The thing is though, the way demographics are going, it's only a matter of time before Chicago has a Latino mayor.
