I'm left handed, so always the left. Left sock, right sock. Left shoe, right shoe. I have not deviated from this in approximately 37 years. Unless I had been drinking, then all bets were off. I was just happy if I had shoes on. I've provided at least 6 homeless people with new kicks.

Archie Bunker laid the sock, shoe, sock, shoe theory out quite nicely 40 years ago. Or was it Meathead? Anywho, one theorized that if you went sock, shoe, sock, shoe, and the house caught on fire you could hop out safely. I guess it makes sense, but I never bought into it. I wish Mike Stivic was still here to clear this up for me.
