Post subject:  Players you miss?

I am looking forward to Sunday but not as much or like I used to. I was thinking about players I watched and how they seemed so much better then they are now. Maybe it was because I was young and idealized them or because I have other things to pass time now, idk.

What player or players make you think I wish he were still playing or I'd love to see him out there again?

Of course. And the defensive calls he made for the best defense of all time. And the fact that he tackled everybody in sight.

But, smart people realize he sucked.

Well compared to a guy like Ray Lewis who has accomplished what he has while playing with a bunch a scrub no name defensive linemen in front of him his whole career he kinda pales in comparison.

Chuck Cecil was awesome. Then everyone wanted to be like him and headhunt and now nobody can. A pioneer that chuck Cecil. He probably took 1 to 2 years off the average NFL players life expectancy just by himself.

Compared to Michael Jordan, a lot of NBA guards pale in comparison.

Perhaps, but I was also going for durability.

To take it a different way, one could cite Danny Ainge I suppose.

Then again, despite your contention in another thread, I'm not terribly smart.

yeah, durability does prompt some interesting discussion. See Sayers, Gayle.

And meant exactly what I said. Just take it.
