who the F cares anyway....

I'd compare B&B to a long-running sitcom on the decline. I'd say that the years 2002 and 2003 were definitely their peak years. In 2004, many things about the show were changed and it started to become the formulaic show that it is today. A couple of things that have soured me is the show's predictability. We know that Friday is Friday Fung. We know that Thursday is WYC. We know what days the special analysts are on. It's all become routine in comparison to the days when they'd decide to have a special segment on the day of the show just for the hell of it (does anyone remember the impromptu Sosa corked bat trial?). The air of predictability, coupled with the fact that Bernstein is becoming just as bitter and miserable as TB, are all factors in the decline of the show. They never disagree and they harp on the same things every day, which has resulted in each episode sounding exactly like the last.

the biggest problem last nite is that the game meant jackshit and the bears just wanted to get it over with. i fully expect them to be ready for the playoffs, and blitz through the entire NFC on thier way to miami.

I Think it's the best produced show on the station for sure.


The show's been really funny today with the hotel room gay sex/sam rosen etc.

when i first head mcneil's new show and heard this spiegel guy i was like "whoa, they tried giving him a bernstein" you know, that intelligent anal type.. though spiegel annoyed me, i don't really listen too much. i think terry's potentially/irrational cantankerous nature offsets bernstein's cold hard logic quite well, hence why everyone is so disappointed to the point of a seven page thread. the formula still works, and short of terry going off to pasture i reckon they'll milk this as long as they can. does anyone know how long his contract is and if he's making the kind of bank as to where he'd keep going?!

I heard them a few weeks ago on a Friday night too, as well as last night. I also think they're pretty good and show a solid knowledge of sports. Their sense of humor isn't lowest common denominator stuff and is usually pretty intelligent.

No more letting Harry host the show without Mac and/or Jurko present. When he did the show with (I think it was JD) after the Police concert, all those girls gabbed about was how great the Police concert was. That's why they lost the spring ratings...

Perhaps it's the doggedly-persistent 1800s goldpanner-like mentality ... most of the intelligent people on this board, despite their better judgement, elect to sift through all of the water, even though it's mostly full of dirt, piss, and shit, just in case they inexplicably come across a valuable nugget of brilliance in an unexpected place solely for the purpose of expanding their views, increasing their knowledge, or both.

So, it's likely that people will continue to read your tripe, knowing full well the odds of them coming away as being better for doing so are remote, just in case you accidentally form a cogent statement.

I have listened to the show since day one, and I have been to 3 broadcasts around the area. I love going to the remotes in the area when I can. My problem is tomorrow I have NOBODY to go with me to the broadcast and literally my wife is the only one that would go. Its right down the street from my house, so thats why it is a must to go, but if I bring the wife, I know Im going to have to go with her to her grandparents house on mothers day. What to do? Love the site.

In a couple years we we will be glad D'A did not come here. He is going to flop in NY in a big way. Nash, Stoud, Marion, Etc are not in NY and never will be.

The Bulls will be just fine without this guy.
