Mine is my wedding band. I had a failed first trial marriage when I said I do at age 29. Married again at Age 37 after ONLYsix months of being divorced(and we lived together before my big D was final). My now wife and I worked together at the time but she thought I was an asshole.She had that right. We decided to go out one night and have been together ever since. She was unhappy with her situation and just like magic we became unseperable.She is my best friend. This may sound sappy and stupid but I look at her when she is sleeping at night and thank the powers that be that she is mine. We have six great kids between us and I look at my ring sometimes and shudder to think what I would have done without her. |

A video of my mother when she briefly appeared on CNN after they picked up a local PSA-type spot. My mother was born/raised in Ireland and had a thick brogue that I didn't hear because it was "my mom's voice", not an accent, if you understand what I mean. I was in the middle of a heavy beer and bong session at Grant North in DeKalb when I suddenly hear the CNN voiceover guy say my mom's name. Before I know it she appeared on the TV and I'm hearing her brogue for the first time. Just surreal. Anyway, she's been gone many years now and it's the only video I have of her. Or my Ernie Banks baseball card. I don't know. |

Most valuable to me are probably my golf clubs. I have a few cool things but nothing I couldn't live without. I would toss my dogs in there since they are pretty much the only family I have. |
