So, does it bother anyone that less than a week of powerball ticket sales raised more money than the red cross raised in a month for Hurricane Sandy relief? |

It pisses me off that the Government cant run a clean lottery like "EL Gordo" on NY eve for $100 tickets and 300 people win $1 mill each. |

How much money does Lottery generate for the government? The prize is 550 million. There had to have been more than 550 million in sales. So I'm gussing here but I don't think that 100% of ticket sales are put into the pot. On top of that, there's the income tax. |
