He's the host of NBC News' "Meet the Press", and he usually talks to newsmakers every Sunday morning from Washington, DC. This past Sunday, an interview with NRA President Wayne LaPierre in regards to his controversial stand stemming from the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, might actually get Gregory himself in hot water. According to the Washington Post, Gregory uses what appeared to be an ammunition magazine as a prop as he posed a question to LaPierre about guns. That magazine happens to be illegal in the Washington, DC area where "MTP" is taped. It's unclear if Gregory himself could face criminal charges as a result of the clip in question. The full story, as well as the clip in question can be found here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/cri ... ingtonpost |

His face is reminiscent of a creature from Planet of the Apes. |

Hopefully he gets the full prison sentence for this. With laws like this, you can't make exceptions. |

Lapierres idea to have an armed guard in every school is controversial? |

Quite frankly, I don't know what can be done to prevent tragedies such as Newtown, CT, NIU, Virginia Tech, etc. They can put bullet-proof glass on the windows, reinforce walls & doors, install metal detectors, etc. all they want. I don't think there are easy solutions to prevent what happened nearly 2 weeks ago. |

Even though I kinda think Gregory is a dickbag, I thought this was a politically-motivated bunch of crap. Then I read NBC asked local authorities if they could show and use the magazine he held up for the cameras, and they were told "no". So, they said 'fuck it' and did it anyway. I now don't have nearly as much a problem with it since, as much as anything else, they're getting their 'fuck it' shoved back at them. |

Not that it matters here, but does David Gregory face a suspension from "Meet the Press" for the use of the prop in question? |
