The attorney advised him not to go on camera cuz people would tell that he's a liar by his body language and speech. He'd be all nervous and sweating.

For crhist sake, ESPN is there to interview you. You go on camera if you're telling the truth.

Did you guys hear Schaap's account of the interview? This shit just got more weird. Te'o told him that he didn't know it was a hoax until 2 days ago when his cousin called him and told him so. What? Then some weird shit about the girlfriend calling him to tell him that she wasn't dead and was hiding from drug dealers. This call was on Dec. 6th. So he's saying he believed that? What the fuck?

Not even audio of the interview? They just showed photos.

Schaap said he talked to him for 2.5 hours. I wonder if they'll put the transcript on their website.

Nobody else is listening to Schaap talk about this right now? I can't even describe it. It's so god damn confusing and complicated. He's been describing it for 15 minutes live on ESPN. I just would like someone else on CSFMB roll their eyes with me.

I read about the "faked my death because of drug dealers" angle. We're on PS3 right now and no need to switch off.

Teams have to be wary of drafting the guy. Whether it's because of his poor judgement and gullibility, or his dishonesty (if it turns out he was lying about the whole thing). I'm guessing his draft slot is going to wind up a LOT lower after all this. He's lost millions already as a result of this mess.

Most people would certainly accept it if he claimed that he was not involved in the initial scam...it is believable that he got roped into it -- AT THE START. But not a single person with any intelligence could believe the lengths to which he allowed this to continue with no face-to-face meetings and no video chat.

The longer he denies the truth, the more I hope he goes undrafted. I almost get the feeling that he wants to come clean, but his "family" and his handlers want to desperately maximize his NFL stock and are clinging to the hope they can make this go away. Ain't gonna happen.

Schaap put it all in a nice package on Sportscenter this morning where he narrated several portions of the interview to the viewer. I'm convinced more than ever that Te'o was in on this thing the entire time. He was very prepared to give his bullshit story.
