Thanks Mr. Cairo. I consider myself the anti Steve out of Elmhurst. I guess a George Wallace campaign may have worked but I won't do that. |

I don't care one bit about whether or not I am entered into some cyber-board hall of fame. What does matter to me, is that 14 people voted for me at all. For a long time, it's been very fashionable to be opposed to most any opinions I might express. I get why. I have expressed some opinions that many found offensive and they have chosen to keep those opinions in their minds at all times. So much so, that anything else I might have posted was tainted. But this voting shows that a fair number of people have been open minded enough to see more. It's nice to see that change. |

What possible difference might it make, that some guy you hear on the radio and see posts from on a message board espouses opinions you agree with or not? Is it because you just feel more comfortable with people who seem more like yourself??? That you are intolerant of those who are not like you?.....Hmmm.... |

I appreciate Steve's honesty. Not everyone here is comfortable enough to be honest about the way they feel when it comes to sports let alone issues of race. That being said I still have to give my vote to Beni. |

Let the record show, I voted for Steve first time around. But if it comes down to Steve vs. Beni, sorry but Beni gets my vote. Beni is under-appreciated. Yes Panther, I get that Steve has generated heat, but that's not the only measuring stick of a good poster. If anything, that's pretty much all Steve does or tries to do. Beni contributes well to conversations and is also pretty funny without going over the top. |

Nothing about my post says anything about popularity. And if it were a popularity contest, Steve would be my choice since he's more popular. Since I don't consider it a popularity contest though, I'm gonna vote for the guy who statistically brings more worthwhile content to the board. For me, that's Beni. |

Q.Bovifs wrote: With all due respect to Beni Hanna, he is not in E-Steve's league in terms of HOF consideration. Elmhurst Steve is the Lex Luthor of This Board and a sure-fire, 1st Ballot Hall of Famer. He has generated more heat here than almost anybody. He has a legacy. Shit, he branded the word "Brand" fer Criminy. For him to be done like this in a popularity contest that you knew he would never win is total bullshit. I hereby propose that we make a separate Antagonists/Board Villains Wing of the HOF, pull the members that fit into that category into one room, and re-vote accordingly. In the past year, I had a number of great experiences. Because I run my own business, I am afforded the opportunity to do some fun things. Doing some work in television for example. In the past year I got to do 2 episodes of Boss, 1 in which I played Meredith's Bodyguard and the other,in which I was in the security detail for a Debate. I got to do a commercial for Addidas with Derek Rose, where I played a Bulls coach (It should air just after he comes back to play). But my favorite role was as one of the thugs in Mob Doctor. It was a recurring role and I got to appear in 5 episodes. I get a lot of call for roles where I would play a Police Officer, Detective, Secret service...etc. But the roles that appeal to me most are those where I get to play a bad guy. It's a lot more fun. Lex Luthor was a great villain. If you watch Shameless, you will see me on that coming later in this season (3). I play (again) a member (there are 2 of us-but I am the one that's the primary one in the scene with William Macy) of a security detail for a Mayoral candidate that's speaking at a Bus/El stop that Macy approaches to complain about city insurance policy. I intercept Macy and keep him at a safe distance in the scene while allowing him to finish his diatribe. Macy was as nice a guy as I have met on a set and I like that show a lot, so it was a lot of fun working on it. Ohhhhhh......I guess all this kinda goes against the request that I be less self-obsessed. But hey, nobody expected that to happen anyway.... |

http://heebmagazine.com/john-travolta-blames-gay-hollywood-jews-for-own-homosexuality/36051 Quote: Defendant began screaming at Plaintiff, telling Plaintiff how selfish he was; that Defendant got to where he is now due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his Welcome Back, Kotter days; and that Hollywood is controlled by homosexual Jewish men who expect favors in return for sexual activity. Defendant then went on to say how he had done things in his past that would make most people throw up.

It would actually be something far greater than nice Steve. But without you addressing the personal aspects of your narcissism. (See his other post above), I understand it is unlikely. But more on this later. You made fun of people of color for a steak dinner for yourself. How this qualifies your behavior as normal, or even honest from an intellectual standpoint as some here mistakenly claim, is a mystery to more people than just me. Any reading of my personal positions on any number of major social, cultural or political issues couldn't possibly be taken as majority thought in these parts either. So the feeling comfortable aspect of your response is an epic fail also. As a policeman, you were intolerant of many behaviors. Intolerance for many things, racism not being one of them, is actually a good thing, and helpful to our society and cultural as a whole. The real reason to dislike racism from you and others who make decisions based on skin color, is that it denies the fundamental dignity of the person and by doing so it demeans YOU personally. And as a narcissist, for that reason alone it is good for you to reconsider your past statements. The dignity of the human person is reduced when the actions of another deny this dignity, or abuse it, or judge them based upon physical traits or characteristics. Simply put Steve, it's beneath your humanity to to be that ignorant. If you have a moment, put down the paint brush and contemplate something other than yourself and your life. You'll be better off for having done so. The rest of us will be too. |
