HHJ was a woman? Was this the start of board members pretending to be a different gender?

I figured that started around mid-August 2008.

For those who weren't around five years ago - here's a post I wrote in a thread about HHJ winning ROY in '07 - viewtopic.php?f=47&t=16936&p=237107#p237107

Who are the four dorks towards the back of the picture?

I've mentioned it before but HHJ was one of the first to welcome me to the board and was a
very solid poster and knew her sports. Only wish I could have met her in person.

I forgot about the honeymoon picture. She really liked this place.

The first time we met, she greeted me like we were old friends from high school or something. I always feel a little awkward in the non-online greeting of "Hi, I'm Dr. Ken" but she was completely at ease and fun. I always remember that. A very nice person.

NARC! (Moment of Silence)

Never actually met her, but every winter night (usually on the original Drinky thread) she was around and always good for a million laughs. I miss my friend.

I still remember Mitch's post saying that she had died. I had never met her in person, but it was such a kick to the gut.

I got a copy of those pictures. I forgot why they mailed them to me but I think there was a group of us they wanted to share the pictures with. She should have been voted in but I'm happy that she made it either way. I think I only met her once but I talked to her enough that it felt like I had known her for years. NARC!!!

Respect

"Looks like rpb is getting the newbie treatment" was my only crossover with her

I can tell she was a special person by the way people speak of her

That's funny,I just mentioned the same thing about myself. The one CSFMB function I attended,I felt funny going up to people saying "Hi,I'm jimmypasta". So I just started going up to people saying "your
an internet dork and I'm better than you!"

Awesome, KS.

Met her at an MJH Harry Caray's remote in 2007ish when the Bears were getting trounced by the Vikings on MNF. Then got myself overserved and started asking random people if they were Keeping Score. I can't remember if that was before or after the CSFMB takeover of the Tribune website.

Was very much a sad day when we got the news. I remember all three of MJH getting a little choked up as they were talking about it on the air.

No her husband posted it here(he was and still is a board member) and may have even called a few select people, I can't remember it all.

I met her and Zack for a liquid lunch before I joined the Army. I believe it was the Monday afternoon of the US Open that year, the playoff round with Rocco and Tiger. She was definitely one of the nicest people I have met from the board. I was really sad when I heard the news from Darko when I came back on the board after Basic Training.

Pretty much.

She was a big MJH fan, so they paid tribute to her on that day. I don't know if they found out about it here, or if her husband let the show know. Either way, it was a nice bit of radio.
