Post subject:  Let's hear it for CSFMB member drinky!
That's the way to stand up to an asswipe who dissed you right in front of your wife and newborn child. This episode began at Once Upon A Bagel but it's a lot like West Side Story:

Spiegs: Ready to host? Let's shake hands
drinky: You kidding? For what?
Spiegs:That's how it's done, buddy boy.
drinky: More gracious living? Look, I don't go for that pretend crap you midday guys go for. I'm a product of the afternoon shift with bernstein. Every one of you hates every one of us and we hate you right back. I don't eat victory chicken with nobody I hate; I don't shake hands with nobody I hate; and I damn sure don't host shows with nobody I hate. So fuck you. Call Finfer.

As an encore he even went and nicked our pervasive HOF thing. That's glorious.... we're not supposed to listen or comment if we don't like it, yet dude's got a license to milk us for all we're worth (free focus groups, segment/bit ideas, god knows what else)

Hey, in today's ReVolution thread there was a mention of "Our Radio Heroes" which I noted begs the question: who are the Orr Radio Heroes? Do you even have radio heroes? Perchance, are any of them currently employed by Der Schnorr or Der Mouse from 9am-5pm? Are you a simpleton like me who has Terry as a radio hero and therefore had to seek out a picture with him at some point? Maybe you're the legendary guy in the picture with Terry and the bowling pin? =D

I guess I do have radio "heroes", but I wouldn't really call them heroes. They have a shelf life. Dahl was great in his time. North was great too. I found him distasteful but interesting. There was nothing like him and he spawned imitators. The old Chuck Swirsky Show was awesome. He's really the pioneer of sports talk in Chicago. And I've always respected Chet's sense of style.
