Yes, but never done it w/ steel toe. Was told that was a problem. Didn't know if anyone had definitive info on the subject. IF I can get my butt out of KC, I may be coming back barefoot. |

Most composite toe safety boots will pass through a metal detector without alarm, few metal toe boots will. Removal and xray of said boots is normal |

Going through airport security with my steel-toed Docs has never been a problem since I have to take them off. They do trip the scanner at the Daley Center though, and those detectors don't seem to be set to much sensitivity since I've accidentally walked through there with metal objects. |

They are a security risk because they can be removed and used as a weapon/shiv |

I'm sure a motivated and resourceful terrorist could probably fashion a weapon out of Skymall magazine. |

I am still trying to figure out why anyone would want to wear steel toe boots on a plane, especially since they make you take your shoes off for security? |

I actually purchased a product from Skymall that allowed me to wear steel toe boots on a plane without detection. The weird thing is I've never tried it. They should review page 287. |

Had to pick up some work boots to deal with KC's version of Snowmaggedon. Best quick option was at Sears who had an inexpensive pair of ($50) steel toe boots. No challenges in security. Them Kansas Cityians apparently don't get lots of snow very often. Whilst in the security line I was watching the guy "under the hood" checking items. Had to laugh/cry as he blatantly pulled the one brother with sagging pants out of line and had his luggage hand checked and frisked his person. Lord help the person that comes in with stereotypical muslim garb on. |

So, why do all you amateur Richard Reids need to wear steel-capped boots on airplanes anyway? |

I have my kid enrolled in a dance style that requires her to perform often at bars where I get to sit at the bar, drink beer and clap along. I also have her in horseback riding which should give me an inside track to better horse track bets. Does this make me a bad father or the greatest father ever? |

Is it more proper to have one (1) space or two (2) spaces after a period in a sentence? Twitter/text rules not applied. |

Problem is, in most instances I have seen it appears that only 1 space is being used. I will go back to 2 if it is clear that is still proper. |

See, that last post I forced myself to add two (2) spaces. Defaults to one (1). It's not a CSFMB issue, maybe a setting? It makes sense in that use save character spacing, but makes for a challenge when trying to accomplish other "things". |
