Herb Lawrence ‏@Ecnerwal23
No need for personalities 2 air their laundry to a site like that. If problems are present they need to be solved internally. No need 4 that

Mar 5 Mike Sum ‏@Mike_S1010
@Ecnerwal23 but calling someone out on twitter is any better? Shouldn't this be done internally too? #contradiction#csfmb

Mar 5 Herb Lawrence ‏@Ecnerwal23
@Mike_S1010 read my tweet before you respond and who did I call out?

Mar 5 Mike Sum ‏@Mike_S1010
@Ecnerwal23 "No need for personalities 2 air their laundry to a site like that." Is this not directed at Danny Mac?

Mar 5 Herb Lawrence ‏@Ecnerwal23
@Mike_S1010 ok, where did I talk about a specific personality? No need for personalities to air their laundry to a site like that! #Read

Mar 5 Mike Sum ‏@Mike_S1010
@Ecnerwal23 Just weird timing that Goff is upset about seeing what Mac said, then you have your rant

Mar 5 Herb Lawrence ‏@Ecnerwal23
@Mike_S1010 it's not a coincidence what and when I posted. That site is the problem with me because as I wrote, it hate everyone until they post and then they are great

And so it begins....

Herb seems to be a good dude, met him once only for a second as Drinky and I were in a deep debate on the middle east! I am sure he would be happy to come aboard

Herb is Ecnerwal. He pretty much made a clear passive aggressive tweet about Mac/Goff, got called out on it and then went back hard to try to get the subject dropped. Radio sure seems like a giant high school at times w/ the cliques etc.

This is free feedback for producers and on air people. For the life of me I can't figure out why they wouldn't use this site more than they do. I can understand not posting much, but if somebody offered me feedback from my customers directly, and all I had to do was read a website for an hour a week, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Especially when you consider how small the WSCR listening audience really is. The good people on this site make up a sizable portion of that audience. For people at the station to shit all over this site really is stupid.

I find it very precious that he refers to goofs that flap their gums on the radio as "personalities".

How many people in that listening audience?
How many people here?
What do you consider to be a "sizable portion?"

I find it precious that they think because they took a job at a radio station rather than go into a more common industry, they are the elite sports thinkers.

75% of the people on this board no sports better than half the SCORE's lineup. But because they chose to work in radio, they are better.

There's nothing wrong with it. Take a chance and maybe you'll make it, but dont think for a second you are somehow more knowledgeable simply by virtue of working there.

Its pretty odd. It would be like if every actor in LA despised movie goers.

ACcording to the last ratings, B&B were at 170K, Jurko & Carmen were at 120K.

Biggest difference here is that the majority of us are "P1", in that we listen longer than just our time spent in the car.

Maybe not sizable, but free-- and for the most part, HONEST-- feedback should never be denied.

Exactly. The Score treating board members like shit is equivalent to a team shitting on its season ticket holders and worrying about the guys that come to maybe a handful of games a year.

Good points, Frank.
I just become amazed when people claim how important this message board is in the grand scheme of things.
I swear that some people think that the programmers first thoughts are about how their strategies and moves will be accepted here, rather than by ratings or, most importantly, sales.

Not exactly.
The message board represents approximately 500 very vocal and loyal season ticket holders.
If it was me, I'd be more worried about the 54,500 guys that come to maybe a handful of games a year.

Who does that?

I know Beardown does, but thats kinda his thing. Do you see it a lot?

I agree with Frank and FF, its just a real nice tool for them.

I also can see their side of it. I mean, I doubt Laurence looks forward to reading how gay or weird he is every day

Maybe you worry about them, but those 54,500 are not going to come if the 500 are completely unhappy with the product.

you need a couple of sheep in order to create the herd.

There is a fine example, Bryan.
This board is apparently the sheep that creates the herd.
If the 500 turn off their radios, the 54,500 will blindly follow suit!

This has kinda been my take on it. Constructive criticism is one thing, but I'm sure most would have to admit that often times it goes way beyond that. And I'm including myself in that as well; I know I've contributed to that, especially when it comes to Mully and Hanley.

But that goes to the point BRick made about how it's a little easier on Score guys who actually post here. If Laurence registered and started an Ask Laurence thread, there would be a handful of Gloopan types who would just talk shit with no purpose, but I bet the majority of responses would be purposeful questions and probably a lot of actual substantive constructive criticism.

If Mully, or whoever you dislike the most on radio, registered here, wouldn't you be much more likely to ask him in a respectful way why his show sucks instead of just saying his show sucks or calling him a jag or whatever and moving on?

Steve,
I didn't say that...but, you can't argue that the board represents the cross section of listeners quite well. Every race, both genders, weirdos, crazies, lawyers...Beardown.

Thereby being an excellent free resource. That is undeniable.

I also can see their side of it. I mean, I doubt Laurence looks forward to reading how gay or weird he is every day

Very good points. I wouldn't disrespect Mully if he came here. I'd tell him why I don't enjoy his contributions to his show and I'd offer suggestions on what would make it more enjoyable for me.

I also agree with Panther's point that Laurence is probably intimidated by this place, likely based on things he's read here and things guys like Jason and Matty have told him.

Steve,
I didn't say that...but, you can't argue that the board represents the cross section of listeners quite well. Every race, both genders, weirdos, crazies, lawyers...Beardown.

Thereby being an excellent free resource. That is undeniable.

I want to agree with this but the ratings suggest otherwise. What about M&H? nobody here likes them, but they get huge ratings.
