I thought we could use a thread to keep record of one of our top posters most wonderous musings. I mean, post steak dinner wager winner 'I hate black people' stuff. Today was a great night for Steve. Here were a few of my favoritesL

Elmhurst Steve wrote:
His innings total in 2011( as a relief pitcher) was 88. Doubling that total would mean a total of 176. he pitched 174.2, which is short of doubling the total

Elmhurst Steve wrote:
If he were to stay healthy, increasing his innings by 8, would be nothing.

Oh dude, you gotta read the rest of that shit, going on rght now in the cubs section. dude is seriously calling me an idiot for saying that Samardzija doubled his inning total from 2011 to 2012 (88.0 to 174 and 2/3rds), the difference being 4 outs.

Post subject:  Re: Steve's Wonders

Darkside's inability to do 3rd grade math and represent that 174 is 88 times 2......needed a correction. I'm sorry simple math is such a problem for him. he went on to represent that Samardzjia had pitched 4 times the innings in 2012 that he had in 2010, when in fact Samardzjia had pitched 130.2 innings in 2010 between AAA and the Cubs. Darkside has had a rough night.

Thats the great thing about math....either you are right, or wrong and there is no doubt as to which is the case. If the total is 1 1/3 innings short of the equation you represented, you are just wrong. Which you were/are

Not quite what I said, but ok, Steve.

I don't think it's terribly unreasonable to say a guy doubled his innings when he goes from 88 to 174 and 2/3rds.

I don't really think anyone else, besides you, would say that's unreasonable.

Besides, this thread is dedicated to you, and your wonders.

You must be the product of a lousy education. To think that making a representation that has been shown to fall short of being accurate and then continue to misrepresent facts and try to pawn them off as reasonable is sad.

The old Grammar Police(I think) mult we used to have would have had a field day with Steve's posts.

My favorite is back in 2008 when he had the Twins projected to beat the Sox in the division, but the Sox were on pace to play like 171 games.
