Dear Nas,

I just signed up for Divvy, Chicago’s brand new bike sharing program!

We’ll be rolling out 4,000 Divvy bikes at 400 stations across the city this summer to make it even easier to ride to work, run errands, exercise, or simply enjoy Chicago’s streets and lakefront path.

Be a part of Chicago history and become a Divvy Founding Member. Your Founding Membership gets you unlimited 30-minute bike trips for an entire year, plus a limited edition black key fob only available to the first 4,000 people who sign up. Once you sign up, we’ll send you your unique key by mail in time for our launch on June 14.

Thanks for being a part of this exciting moment in Chicago history.

I rode my bike to work once. it's only 12 miles, but the route is purely busy roads in Schaumburg, so it took forever. No thanks. I ride to the store and places like that on the weekends, but to work isn't feasible.

It will be a very cold day in Hell before I ever support the idea of bicycles riding on streets.

These people in their ridiculous spandex outfits are a tremendous nuisance, and a hazard to people in cars.

I hate cyclists when I'm driving my car, and I hate people driving their cars when I'm on my bike. It's a struggle daily.

I have a lot of grievances. It is thoroughly exhausting to be me.

Fuck that! We have technology. There is no sane reason to do this. It's not 1860. Why some people want to live like it is I'll never understand.

Instead of sharing the bike, why not cut the bike down the middle and give half to each person?

I was at the St. Louis Zoo with my son, and there was a giant group of Amish people there.

I am not an expert in the Amish religion, but I believe that if any of them tried air conditioning or a car, they would definitely enjoy it.

Especially when they get in large groups, play dress up and do their "Tour De Chicago" where they ignore traffic laws and make life a living hell for drivers.

That is exactly what I am talking about, Willis. It really boils my blood when I practically have to drive into oncoming traffic to avoid these jerks. And if I do the appropriate thing, and mow one of these guys down in order to protect myself and probably my family, I will end up being sued by one of these babies. And who will lose? Oh, the big bad car hit Mr. Jones on his fancy racing Schwinn and tore his bright yellow spandex bodysuit, and crushed his slick helmet and skull. Let us award Mr. Jones huge damages.

So let us review the people who drive me insane:

1. Fake testicle people
2. Stick figure people
3. Soap on window people
4. Bicyclists
5. People who buy lottery tickets and hold up the line
6. Communists

As I understand it, cyclists are supposed to ride single file when riding on roads. In the warm months, there are about a dozen cyclists, all wearing those tight pants, that ride down Mack Rd, in Wheaton and Warrenville. It is a two lane road, that is busy during rush hours, so when they are riding side by side, you can't go more than 20 mph. I would run over every single one of them, if I wouldn't end up in jail.

Share the road, my ass.
