Vote homos! Which GM really knows his shit? Who do you find yourself trusting completely?
It's NBA draft, NHL Free agency/resign, MLB trade deadline/whiteflag, and NFL postdraft/FA/Camp time...
who did you trust, who do you trust?

Can there be an answer right at this present time other than Stan?

2 Cups in 4 years.

Theo has skins on the wall, but not with current club.

GarPax has made some good moves, but no championship.

Hahn and Emery have done nothing.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

Stan has to be the answer I think.

I completely trust GarPax not to fuck up the Bulls. That's something I guess.

Hasn't Stan had an easier path?

The 2010 team was already pretty much in place for him when he got here. It was ultimately him who chose Hossa over Havlat though and that made a world of difference. Tallon left Stan in a shit situation cap wise after the 2010 Cup and Bowman cleared it all up with wise transactions and got this team another Cup 3 years later. He manages the cap very well and is excellent at drafting. The Hawks prospect pool is stacked and with him in charge they're set to be contenders for a long, long time.

Answer is Stan for me and it's not even close.

As a Cubs fan I hope we can seriously debate the answer being between Theo and Stan in the upcoming years.

The core hasn't really changed though.

That's kind of my point. Stan inherited a GREAT young core.

True. You don't win Cups in the salary cap era with just a core though.

Theo has to leapfrog GarPax before he can be considered for this.

He will when the Cubs win the 2015, 2016 and 2017 World Series.

I rank the GMs in the following order:

1)Stan
2)Theo/Jed
3)Gar/Pax
4)Hahn
5)Emery

Stan is at the top for obvious reasons. Theo/Jed are next because they've won championships, although in another city and with an entirely different talent acquisition system in place. Jed also did a nice job of building the minor league system in San Diego. Gar/Pax is third because they have assembled a consistent winner, but I'm not sure they are capable of making the bold moves necessary to elevate the Bulls to a championship team. Hahn is fourth because Emery seems god awful.

Easy win for Stan as he has the hardware. Not sure how to arrange the Cubs/Bulls/Sox GM's. All fucked up situations where who knows who is in charge. Emery is easy last place GM. I appreciate and am very thankful the guy is a yahoo and has given the Packers 2 cakewalk wins for as long as he's employed.

Bowman and it's not even close. I don't trust Phil Emery to put his pants on in the morning.

I wonder if Stanley Bowman's middle name is "Cup." I fear there's like a 20% chance it is.

Stan Bowman has been in the organization since 2001. He was Tallon's assistant GM, and some think he was the one that fucked up the paperwork that Tallon got fired over. He was part of the team that built the 2010 team, so no, it was not already in place when he got here.
