These are the three I want to see. My friend recommended a Ford Focus and it seems to have high marks online.

Yeah the sonic isn't bad either.

I am pretty much locked into getting a chevy as one of my good friends owns the Chevy dealership here in town and told me he will give me a good deal.

Awesome, glad to hear it. I been reading reviews on it and it seems to be well liked.

that reminds me, it's been a long time since i noticed anything new in Seinfeld
i had the Bottle Deposit episode on last night while making dinner and at the end where George is in the mental institution, i never realized that the old man who goes "hey is that little Georgie C" is the old man from the Jon Voight Lebaron episode

Sounds like you are looking for a car primarily. I picked up a pretty standard Jeep Patriot for under 20
last year. I don't do a ton of driving but it has been functional with the back seat going down and able
to haul and move reasonably sized things.

I like that car but my son drives a 2012 Impala LT with the spoiler and nice sound package. The Impala is a solid car that has been around with that same body style for years until recently. A used Impala might be a good choice. I have a 2010 Honda Civic which is better than the 2011-12 series of the same model.

:( Unfortunately that is how I have been picking up my last few dates. Intraweb dating is like playing
russian roulette except I never get the bullet putting me out of my misery. I keep getting to go like
Walken in The Deer Hunter.

Time is your friend right now. Year end incentives may get better by the end of the month or in August depending on how well things are selling.

Went to two places today so far. First place I went to a Chevy dealership. Sales Agent wasn't a dick which was a plus. Test drove two cars and guy was able to answer my questions. After I sat down with guy and who I am guessing was his boss. Was told the rebates of both cars I looked at and was told the interest rate would be around 2.3% if I took out a loan through chase to buy my car through them. Was given ball park figures of 18.8k for Cruze (basic model) and 17.5 for Sonic (with some minor upgrades) after rebate, taxes, title, etc. Was put under no pressure to sign anything today.

Then I went to a Ford place. I told the agent I was looking for a car in the area of 16k before taxes. We go out to look at two different cars. A focus and fiesta. He then goes inside to get the keys. When he comes back he brings back a much younger agent to take me on the test drive. He says he has another appointment. SO me and the new agent go on the test drive in the focus and it goes well. I ask him how much this car is and he says 23k. :?. I ask if their is a rebate and he says there is but he doesn't know how much :?:. The car drives really well though and says the basic model is 19k plus a rebate. But he does not know exactly how much the rebate is.

We then go to test drive the fiesta but there is a problem. The battery is dead . He goes inside and gets the charger and the car is good to go. We get on the street for the test drive and he notices the gas gauge says two miles left so we just drive basically around the block as he is worried were gonna run out of gas   . I ask how much for this model and he tells me 19k. I ask about the base model and he says they those for around 15k. I know it was not this agents fault, but why the first guy couldn't have me test drive cars in the price range I wanted was irritating. After that I asked if we could go inside and get an idea of how much it would cost me to purchase either vehicle. He told me their dealership does not do that. They only run numbers if your are serious about buying and don't like to throw figures out that could be wrong. So I left and am not going back.

I noticed both places the first question was what type of monthly payment I am looking for. When I responded I dont care about the payment and only the price of the car, both places looked at me surprised. So now I am back to doing some more research but currently leaning toward the Cruze. It seems like a relatively good price, but of course I don't know shit about cars and could be wrong.

Must be nice for first Ford guy that he can't be bothered with your small potatoes purchase.

Last time I walked into a ford dealership I brought my checkbook and my title fully expecting to walk out with a new pickup.
They were such fucking dicks that I left.
Went straight to a Toyota dealership and left 3 hours later with a new Tacoma.

"How are you planning on paying for this?"
Not sure what the fuck that has to do with a test drive but I found the question offensive. Let me worry about it. I told the motherfucker I was thinking of paying cash and trade in. He LAUGHED at me. Fuck you man.

"What kind of interest rate are you looking for?"
I told him I expected 2.9 or better. Again, laughed at me. "Why would you want that, where did you hear that we can do that?" I said my last truck I bought here for 2.9 and I got 1.9 offered at Toyota.

Guy was a dick.

Two weeks after I bought the tacoma he called me and said that he had a truck in that he wanted me to see.
I took my new Tacoma in and told him I had a truck I wanted him to see too.

If sticker price is say 18.5, How much can you realistically whittle them down?

Not sure why I forgot to mention but a couple months back I had a nice rental in CA. A Dodge Avenger. It was exactly a smaller economical model of a Charger and was just great. I haven't studied it or know price but may be worth looking into.

IMU, since we're on cars, I went and looked at a 2014 Audi S4, 6 speed manual. I am pretty sure I am going to replace the 535 this fall. I will be looking at the new CTS, E class, and 535 once they appear in showrooms. But none of those have a manual option, so I am leaning S4. The S4 is a similar size to my current 535, which is perfect for me. Unfortunately, BMW decided to add a lot of weight to the newer 535's, and I don't want anything bigger than what I already have.

What color, I am thinking that charcoal or darker blue....I won't go black again despite the saying about black.

You can't get a 535 manual?
