Anyone play? Always seem to have conflicting schedules with my buddies who do. Lots of nice courses in the area

It's fun. One of the great activities where having a few beers is encouraged and improves your game

I played a few times in college and it definitely was fun. I never went so far as to get the correct discs or
anything like that.

I can dig it. I try to get out and do it whenever there is an opportunity. I don't ever want to become the guys who have a bag with 25 discs though. I usually roll with an entire 2 for the course. I hit up Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and West Chicago a few weeks ago. Geneva has a great course where you won't lose a disc but its full of douchebag geneva high school students getting high and fucking off. That would normally be fine but they dont get out of the god damn way.

The thing that makes it cool is that every guy has a desire to throw things indoors or outdoors, whether that's an actual sporting ball or keys or shooting trash into a garbage can. Golf is somewhat out of reach for people who can't afford clubs or fees to play. Plus it has the stuck-up nature of country clubs and arrogant players. Whereas as disc golf is typically free and is much faster to play and you get your walking exercise in. It's definitely cool if you have a few people to play with.

Ive played on and off for the past 5-6 years. I only have a driver and a putter, but I usually don't even bring the putter with. It is indeed a great hobby to get high and participate in.

Played when I lived in Rockford. There was a great course in Page Park. Had 4 discs, really found the disc that was easier to turn over (draw) to be the most useful. Those dudes who are really good at it consider -1 on a hole to be par. Good times.

My 2 Sons have been discing for years. They carry around a bag with 5 or 6 discs & Beers & they will drive all over the place to play different courses. The price is certainly right.

Yes, but when they go to Starbucks I pick them up.
