Do you know anyone who sells it, ever sold it, ever tried it? No I am not going to be a dealer. |

I'm surprised you didn't just trail off at the thought of a prehistoric vagina, Hank. |

I assume you mean Herbalife? Back when I worked in Rosemont, I got stuck building booths for their convention. The people working for them were okay, but when you see the reviews and results, I am not sure how well it actually works. Its essentially weight management / nutrition. At the time there were accusations about the product causing damage to organs and looking through their Wikipedia page, it seems like most of it was liver-related. Looks like they are also accused of being like a pyramid scheme. Why do you want to know? |

Summer of '04, I was at my friend's high school graduation party and my parents were talking to some other parents about a recent article in the local newspaper about destroying any invasive weeds on your property, like garlic mustard or marijuana. I chimed in, "Yeah, Dad, we better destroy all that marijuana in our yard." Everyone looked at me funny. I later found out the other dad was a cop. |

I knew a family that did it in the 80s. I learned later that it was a front to sell coke, so that's what I always associate with it. I don't know what happened to them. |

My oldest son is a dealer of Herbalife- he has used the protein shakes for workouts and a vitamin tea in the morning. My wife and daughter are using the meal replacement shakes for weight loss. It's alright, priced about $2 per meal. A little more grainy than the Biatrix shakes I used in the past. I have tried the energy drinks- they come as an Alka-seltzer-looking disc that dissolves in water. They taste pretty good and are slightly less powerful than 5 Hour or Monster- just right for me on night shift. The whole MLM aspect is disconcerting, the managers do like to show off, and that unnerves me. His best friend that signed him up is now talking about quitting his day job. My son is finding that all of his friends are already members, and is not selling to anyone but us. He thinks he'll be able to sell more back at school this Fall- we'll see. It was no cost to sign up, so if we end up his only customers he's not out anything. |
