Well, it is Tiger's last chance to break his winless major streak for 2013. He's had an impressive year by almost anyone's standards. Apparently even his as well now that he is trying to downplay the fact that winning a major doesn't define a great season. For him I think we all know that it kinda does even though winning The Players and two WGC events in one season is pretty damn impressive. He didn't have much luck here 10 years ago when an unknown Shaun Micheel won with one of the best closing approach shots in PGA history. If there is a major that is open to an unknown or underdog to come in and swipe it has been the PGA Championship in the past few decades. |

He rises to the challenge and overcomes a Sunday deficit to win and finally be back. |

I say he wins by 8 and then declares that he is, in fact, not back yet and this has been a mediocre season. |

Henrik Stenson or Steve Stricker turn this into a great year for themselves. |

Hunter Mahan has been in the mix the last few majors. I think it is his time to break through. |

Tiger's putter is on. His other clubs, not so much at this point. Even through 3 holes |

I went with Keegan this week but Mahan could be the guy to beat. He's been playing some tremendous golf for the last month or so. |

Was able to watch a little bit of the late action last night after work. I had to laugh at the size of some of the divots those guys were taking. I saw Justin Rose take one out of the rough that was literally the size of a small piece of sod. Video included in link. Pretty funny. http://www.sbnation.com/golf/2013/8/8/4 ... 2013-divot |

Hope the green speeds that everyone else has to putt on are acceptable to Tiger today so he can go low |

Adam Scott looks so damned awkward with that stupid broomstick. I can't bring myself to root for him on account of it. |

Tiger is at +5, the project cut at the time of this post is +3. You would think that the undisputed #1 golfer in the world would at least be able to make the cut at the season's last major... |

He'll likely be within 5 of the lead by the end of the day. |
