I believe we got some of these stories before, but I think it was something like 6 years ago and there are plenty of new posters since then. I am the best man of a bachelor party weekend that begins this Friday. I'm looking for two things from you board members.

1. While my weekend is fairly set, are there any high recommendations for bars, clubs, live music clubs that you would recommend? We will be downtown this weekend.

2. Any epic bachelor stories you kids care to share? (KS, you've got to have something insane)

I need to clarify something. I am not getting married. I am the best man for the groom-to-be. I think a few people have thought this was my bachelor party weekend. You can come still only if you're single or will be my wing woman.

Are we more like Goose and Maverick or Slider and Iceman?

There are hundreds of places you could go. What kind of music? Are these club guys or rock dudes?

Reggies on State (punk girls), Double Door (hipster chicks), Howl at the Moon ("wOoooh" bitches from Winnetka).

1. Walk into the party with a blow up doll, or even better I-love-ewe...that shit brings the house down right off the bat.

2. Why go to a bar or club? Those crowds make the "strippers" uncomfortable.

3. I like the idea of a "guys" type of dinner in a private room to start off the night. I threw a party at Ditka's with a three course meal, including pork chop, for something like $60, room included. You would be spending that anyway and it kind of gives everyone a chance to get together as you will get separated as the night goes on. It also gives you the opportunity to include the father and father in law in a little fun before telling them to scram when the rest of the night starts.

"Chuck E. Cheese and Thunderbird" isn't exactly his shining moment ...

Bachelor parties make me uncomfortable, and that's because I usually walk funny for a week after.
